The goal
DWA works toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, on detroitwebagent.com, the onboarding pages and the Client Hub.
What's in place
- A skip link, headings in order, and labeled navigation, forms and buttons.
- A visible focus outline, so the site can be used with a keyboard alone.
- Large tap targets on phones.
- Less animation when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Text sizes and colors chosen for readability, and pages built to reflow when zoomed.
Known limits
The site hasn't had an independent accessibility audit yet, so some problems may not have been caught. Some pieces come from other companies, such as Stripe's payment pages, and follow those companies' own accessibility standards.
Tell me about a problem
If anything here is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email matt@detroitwebagent.com or call or text (313) 992-1219. Say which page and what happened. You'll get a reply within one business day, and help getting what you need by phone or email in the meantime.
Client websites
Sites DWA builds for clients are built toward the same WCAG 2.2 AA target. Content added later, such as photos without descriptions or scanned PDFs, affects accessibility too, and DWA points out issues it spots.
Changes
When this statement changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
