I'm Matt Michels. I've owned and run my own business since 2010, and I run Detroit Web Agent out of Grosse Pointe Park, MI. The person who builds your site is the person who answers your phone.
How the work gets done
I build every site and run every service myself. There are no account managers and no subcontractors.
An AI partner, Agent 01, does research, drafting and quality checks. It is always labeled as AI.
Nothing goes out under your name, or mine, until a person approves it: you for your content, me for everything I ship.
You own your domain, hosting account, code, design, content and data. I work on them; I don't hold them.
I respond within one business day, Monday to Friday.

Why a one-person shop with an AI partner
The W in the DWA mark is two strokes: mine and Agent 01's. The AI does the research and the first drafts, so one person can ship quickly. I make every decision, answer for every result, and approve everything before it goes out. Built with Claude, an AI system from Anthropic. That isn't an endorsement or a partnership; I just think you should know what's under the hood.
What I can show you today
Every service on the price list is marked honestly: "Proven — live today" or "Being proven — ask first." The current build for a Warren industrial boiler company is shown blurred, for the client's privacy, until they're live and have said yes to being named. Results get published as they come in, not before.
