What cookies are
Cookies and browser storage are small pieces of data a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for a page to work. Others measure visits or ads.
Analytics and ad measurement
- Google Analytics: counts visits and shows which pages get read. Sets cookies that start with _ga.
- Meta Pixel: tells Meta you visited, so DWA can measure and target its own ads on Facebook and Instagram. Sets the _fbp cookie.
- PostHog: counts page views and clicks so the site can be improved. It keeps its anonymous ID in memory only, so it sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device.
- Sentry: logs site errors so they can be fixed. No cookies.
DWA's own tools
- SiteRadar (visitor analytics): no cookies. It keeps a random session ID in your browser's local storage so page views from one visit are grouped together.
- Where you came from: if you arrive through a tagged link (for example ?src=...), a small first-party cookie named dwa_src keeps that tag for 30 days so we know which link brought you, and a partner link (?ref=...) is kept the same way in dwa_ref. Neither holds anything about you.
- The AI assistant: no cookies.
- Client Hub and sign-in pages: store your sign-in session in the browser. Without it you can't stay logged in.
- Checkout: Stripe's payment pages set their own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
How to turn them off
- Block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, or use a private window.
- Opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Control Meta's ad use of your visits in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
The marketing pages work fine with all of this blocked. The Client Hub needs its sign-in storage to keep you logged in.
