Detroit Web Agent

Metro Detroit · Trades & industrial

Websites + lead systems for Metro Detroit trades & industrial.

Most industrial buyers research you silently before they ever call. If your site doesn't prove you can handle their job, they never reach out — you just never hear about it.

What you actually have to do

Minimal typing. Mostly taps.

Onboarding is built the same way for every service — checkboxes and photo uploads on your phone, one optional text box for anything that doesn't fit a checkbox. About 30 minutes of your time, total.

  1. Day 0

    You say yes.

    Your workspace is created automatically.

  2. Days 1–3

    Onboarding on your phone.

Checkboxes, a few photos, one text field. About 30 minutes.

  3. Days 2–4

I audit your site and your competitors.

You get a plan back, not homework.

  4. Days 4–7

    Your profiles get a makeover.

Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, whatever's in scope.

  5. Days 7–10

Your first two weeks of content lands in Approvals.

    Nothing posts without your tap.

After that: weekly batches, a monthly report, and a quarterly check-in. You approve everything that goes out under your name.

Website onboarding: what should the site do for you? Tap-to-call button and quote request form checked.
Website onboarding: which look feels most like you? Four style options to tap.
Missed-call text-back setup: Never lose a caller again, with a Set it up button.

An industrial boiler company in Warren

01

Challenge

Real industrial-buyer research happens silently before a call ever comes in. This company's old site couldn't carry that weight, and leads weren't routed to the right person.

02

Approach

A full site rebuild, lead routing by department, SiteRadar visitor identification, SEO content, and LinkedIn ghostwriting — each piece aimed at a specific part of the problem.

03

What's live now

The site rebuild and lead routing are live. Results tracking begins at launch — real numbers get published here as they come in, not before.

The "Agent" in Detroit Web Agent

One founder. One AI partner.

The W in the DWA mark is two strokes — mine, and Agent 01's. I build and run this business myself, using an AI partner for research, drafting, and QC. Everything it drafts, I approve before it goes out. Everything it says about itself, it says plainly: it's AI.

AI-built. Human-approved.

Built with Claude, an AI system from Anthropic. No claim of endorsement or partnership — I just think you should know what's under the hood.

Agent 01, DWA's AI partner: a faceless figure in a black suit, fedora and green tie. An AI-generated character, not a person.

Who you're actually talking to

About Matt

I'm Matt Michels. I've owned and run my own business since 2010. Detroit Web Agent is me plus an AI partner — no account managers, no ticket queue, no handoffs. The person who builds your site is the person who answers your phone.

I respond within one business day. If your current vendor takes longer than that, that's the first thing we fix.

Quote card: You call, I answer. If something breaks, it's on me. Matt Michels, founder, Detroit Web Agent.

What's in writing

You own everything. It's in the terms.

  • Your domain and DNS are yours from day one.
  • Your hosting account is yours.
  • Your code, design, and content are yours, once paid in full.
  • Your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube stay yours — I manage them, I don't own them.
  • Your lead and radar data is yours.
  • First month free. Growth Plan and add-ons are month to month, no term; cancel any time in your Hub, effective at the end of the paid month. Prepay 12 months for 12% off.
  • 30 days after your site launches: if something I built doesn't work as the proposal describes, I fix it free.
  • 15 days late on an invoice pauses service. Nothing gets deleted.
  • If you leave, you get a full data export, your accounts handed back, and a written handover checklist.

FAQ

Who actually does the work?

Me — Matt Michels — with an AI partner for research, drafting, and QC. Everything public gets my approval first. No hidden staff, no subcontractor churn.

Why does the trades build start at $7,900 instead of a cheaper template?

Because it's a fully custom build — hero video, a coverage map, a filtered portfolio, lead routing by department, a private dashboard — and the cheapest comparable fully-custom industrial build I could find published anywhere starts at $10,000. This one's $7,900.

What does “founding pricing” mean, and does it go away?

It's the early-client rate on a service I'm still growing. List price is always shown first; the founding rate is the real number you'd pay. It's tied to being an early client, not a permanent discount code.

Do I own my site if I leave?

Yes. Your domain, hosting account, code, and content are yours once paid in full. You get a full data export and a written handover checklist if you go.

Are SiteRadar and Opportunity Radar actually proven?

Not yet, honestly. Opportunity Radar found 5 verified-relevant leads in a 30-day internal test. SiteRadar (Visitor Radar) passed every internal test but hasn't yet named a company from a real visitor — it can only name companies that visit from their own business network; home, mobile and VPN visitors can't be identified. In a live week (24–30 Sep 2026) Opportunity Radar checked 305 public records for one contractor and kept 10. Both are live. SiteRadar is $49/mo on its own or included with the Growth Plan; Opportunity Radar is included with the Growth Plan only.

Is the LinkedIn and SEO content really AI-drafted?

Yes, drafted by AI and reviewed by me before anything posts under your name. I disclose this because I'd want to know it too.

I run a barber shop / salon / small shop, not a trades company — is this for me?

That's the Local Starter lane. It wraps whatever booking app you already use instead of replacing it. $499 one-time, hosting included for the first 12 months, and you own your domain (about $15/yr).

What's included each month, and what happens when I want more changes?

Monthly allowances reset on the 1st. Unused items don't carry over. Each piece includes 2 rounds of changes; a full rewrite after that uses one item from your allowance. Websites: 2 rounds of changes on the full preview, plus 1 polish round after launch. Extra changes or new pages are quoted before we start. Local Starter: Two rounds of changes before it goes live: tell me everything you'd change, I update it, then one more pass. Site care: Up to 2 hours of site edits a month (text, photos, prices, hours, a new section on an existing page). Unused time doesn't carry over. Extra time is quoted before we start.

Is there a contract?

The website build is a one-time project, not a subscription. Monthly services start on the 1st of the next month, the first month is free, and you're never billed for part of a month. The Growth Plan is month to month with no minimum term, and so are add-ons. Cancel the plan or any add-on any time in your Hub (Plan & billing, then Cancel): it ends at the end of the month you've paid for, and you can undo it until then. If you'd rather pay for 12 months up front, that's 12% off; ask and I'll send an invoice. A plan started under an earlier written proposal keeps the terms in that proposal.
